What is left of Watson High now?

We’ve taken a few pictures for those of you who don’t live in Canberra any more. The school still looks pretty good, the trees have grown, but the oval is sadly neglected. And of course it isn’t Watson High any more! The school closed in 1987 (therein lies a tale!) and is now known as “Canberra Technology Park” (see http://www.canberratechpark.com/).But you can still wander around there during the week, as our photographer did a month or two ago.

Watson High ( now Canberra technology Park) seen from Mt Majura. The courtyard outside the PE change rooms. The quadrangle - rather softened by a few plantings. Taken from outside the Library (built after we left). Inside the canteen area - dolled up a bit but still essentially the same. Remember sitting on the floor at assemblies, and the socials we had in here? Taken from the side exit to A block. No more bike racks! The front of A block. Hasn't changed much, really, just wheelchair accessible.
