Well, it was a wonderful night, and some of us kicked on again the next day for lunch. Some photos are below, and hopefully there’ll be many more photos of our happy gathering to be added in the months to come.<\/p>\n
Thanks again to all who came and made it such a happy occasion. Somehow because we were the oldest year all the way through high school from 2nd form to 6th form, we were a tight-knit group, and the years fell away in a flash. Special thanks to those who drove or flew long distances to be with us – we really appreciated your effort and your company. Thanks also to the organising committe (though we did have a lot of fun doing it!) and the staff at Yowani for their contribution to the evening’s success.<\/p>\n
And finally a big thank you to the teachers who came. We had Mr Beatton (accompanied by his wife Kay), Mrs Somes and Mrs Styles from the very first year of Watson High’s opening in 1965, Mr Searle, Mr Murray and Mrs Gorrie from later years. Mrs Blue was a late scratching – such a pity she couldn’t be there too. Mrs Watson and Mrs Freemantle joined us too and it was lovely to have their company.<\/p>\n
We decided ten years is too long to wait for the next one – we’ll keep you posted!<\/p>\n
