Deborah

Thank you Kathy, Pam, Tricia and Dolores.

It looks as though you all had a terrific time. I am really sorry I missed it, but we had to be out of our house by Monday for settlement. I am writing now from Queensland – yes Herb and I are newly minted Queenslanders! We have a cute little house and 100 acres of trees at Reesville, near Maleny (behind the Sunshine Coast). We have been here just over a week now, and we love it! If there are any other Queenslanders in our part of the world from the class of ’69, I would love to catch up with them (deborah@geninteractive.com.au).

I am having a most enjoyable life. Since leaving school, I have done things that interest me, including 14 years with the Adult Migrant English Service and then12 years in Corporate sector as an instructional designer. I finally quit my job at Cisco, and almost immediately we sold our home at Wagstaffe on the NSW Central Coast and moved up here. I am hoping to get part-time work as an instructional designer somewhere local – no more meetings at midnight and hasty trips across the Pacific!

I like to meditate in the Zen tradition, and recently did a 9 day retreat at Gorricks Run in Darkinung country, NW of Sydney.

I look forward to catching up with everyone at the next reunion.
