Messages from teachers.

My very best wishes to all of you for the Reunion weekend.
I know you will have a wonderful time getting together and
sharing memories.

Unfortunately I am unable to attend as I am in Queensland
and we are having a family reunion on the same day as the
Watson High Reunion.

I have very fond memories of my time at Watson – great
teachers, great students and a principal ahead of his time.

Have a great night,

Betty Growder

Thank you for including me in your WHS reunion invitation list. I always thoroughly enjoy reunions, but this one I cannot get to – apologies, but simply not possible at this time.

Watson carries only good memories for me; it was the start of my teaching career and even now, sem-retired, I still enjoy classroom interaction and the mutual learning of teacher and students. It was pretty heady stuff, starting out with that idealism of “compete only with yourself” and awarding non-numerical marks, a philosophy I still maintain – although now teaching migrant adults at TAFE level. Mr Sweaney lives on!

Hope the weekend of 31st and 1st goes well.
Regards,

Elizabeth Beckett
